Esperante passenger window won’t go down

I have a 2001 Esperante that I just bought last month and the passenger window stopped working after I owned the car for a week. Thankfully, it died in the ‘up’ position, but won’t go down when activating either the passenger door switch or the master switch on the driver’s door.

    I’ve done the following:
    1. Verified that all the fuses are good.
    2. Performed the courtesy light test - ignition’on’ and activate the switch to see if the courtesy light dims at all - no change.
It appears that the motor is not getting power. I’ve removed the door panel hoping to ‘test’ the motor with 12v, but cannot find the motor. Where is it inside the door.

Also, I found this connector inside the door, not connected to anything. Does anyone know what this is for or supposed to be connected to? Looking around inside the door with a mirror and flashlight I don’t see anything obvious that it plugs into.

I was hoping it simply came unplugged from the window motor and I could just plug it back in and all would be well.

I tested the pins in the grey plug on the right and found the pair that are getting 12v when I operate the master window switch. So power is getting to the switch.

        Update:

        1. The additional lead and connector coming off the main harness in the picture posted above must serve some other purpose in whatever Ford vehicle (Mustang?) this harness was sourced from. It is NOT for the window motor. Disappointing as I was hoping to just plug it back in and be good to go.

        2. Further testing of the pins in the connector revealed that power to raise the window is going to the switch, but it doesn’t appear that there is power to lower the window reaching the switch.

        3. I removed the door speaker and located the window motor and confirmed it moves the window up and down when power is applied directly to the pins on the connector.

So where to look next. I saw something about the possibility of the master switch on the drivers door failing which could render both switches to useless. Anyone have any idea if that’s true?

Id love some input from the collective wisdom here.

        Thanks!
